Great find!! We are on our way West and stopped for the night in Hazen. I had the fried catfish. And it was delicious. My husband had country fried steak, very good. Our waitress was very friendly and served us well. She checked several times. We loved her smile! This is a family friendly nostalgic restaurant. Cozy and comfortable.

Heading east on the I 40 we were looking for a good spot for breakfast, so I looked on Yelp and the reviews were good, so we drove down the road to go try it, when we got there we had just missed breakfast, we didn't want to drive around so we had Lunch. the food was hot and tasty my husband had the day special which was meatloaf, came with mashed potatoes, beans, and okra that we never had before, It was so delicious, I had the cat fish sandwich, which was amazing, the service was quick and the pretty waitress was very sweet. The people that were in there eating were very friendly. The place is just a simple eatery nothing fancy but great home cooking.

Not like it used to be but still gets the job done. Can't go wrong with French toast in the morning. Delicious and not heavy on the stomach.

Went a couple of miles off the highway after seeing some of the reviews - the burger and cheeseburger were totally worth it. Crispy tots, just-right fries. Our only disappointment: we couldn't handle burgers and southern cooking in the same visit. Generous portions, good prices (special includes burger, fries or tots and a drink; daily special like fries pork chops cokes with several sides), friendly service. Save room for dessert - we enjoyed the ice box lemon pie along the many options. Breakfast til 10:30 - full breakfast menu. We don't eat pork but bacon fans probably will want to try the loaded Big Joe Hash Browns (mirrors the Big Joe Burger for lunch). Current hours at 6-2 pm every day but Sunday. If you're there by 1:30-1:45 you should be fine.

Totally worth the drive off interstate. Great food, service and atmosphere. Might have been the best breakfast sausage and pancakes I've ever had!

Friendly service and they don't skimp on the food. Had the Turkey Bacon Avocado sandwich and it was filling. Great stop on Hwy 70. I bet the breakfast is solid.

What a pleasant surprise! This hole-in-the-wall has quality service and food at a great price. We tried the Sunrise, Hungry Man, Dolly, and patty melt - all were fantastic! The pancakes are thick and fluffy in the middle, with a slightly crisp edge. They taste amazing, too! Eggs were cooked perfectly, and nothing was over/under cooked. Very happy with our experience!

I actually found this place through Yelp. It is 100% small town diner. I enjoyed it the waitresses are extremely nice and very attentive. The diners around me were friendly it was obvious I was not from around there, and they noticed. That was kind of cool. My only complaint and it's not the restaurants fault, as I ordered a hamburger because that's what I eat. The patties were promised to be huge and it was. The problem is that everyone is cooking their ground meat to well-done, and that makes for a big dry burger. That's not the diners fault I'm sure that's the law there. Looking at the other diner selections the food looked fantastic, I just chose poorly. Big upside is that they have tater tot's and very good tea. If I happen to be around there again I will most definitely find my way there again. You should too!
